After the very unfortunate event that took place at the Air Force Stadium in Cairo ahead of a Premier League match, The German University in Cairo (GUC) began observing a rise in the number of protests.

The students mourn the loss of their colleague Mohamed Salah and all the other innocent Egyptians who passed away, may they all rest in peace. Chants echoed around the corners of the university campus expressing anger due to the fact that no one has been held responsible yet.

The protests have found their way to the front of Dr. Ashraf Mansour’s office, the Prime Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, asking the university to build a memorial to commemorate Mohamed Salah, Amr Azzam, a GUC graduate and TA who passed away in the Rabaa’ massacre, and Karim Khouzam, another GUC student and one of the Ahly fans who had lost their lives in the Port Said Stadium Massacre.

A pattern is observed here given that no one has been held responsible for the Port Said massacre either, is history doomed to repeat itself?
