The Arab diva Sabah passed away in Lebanon today at the age of 87.
Previously known as Jeanette Gergis Al-Feghali, Sabah’s 60-year career has yielded in 50 music albums and 98 films. Her first song came out in 1940 and her film career started in 1943 in Egypt. To add to her accomplishments, according to the Lebanese newspaper Daily Star, Sabah was the first Arab singer to perform at the Sydney Opera House, Piccadilly theatre, Carnegie Hall, and Olympia. It’s safe to say she lead a legendary career-path.
